SAS Employees Give Back This Holiday Season
Xenia, Ohio (Dec. 17, 2014) – SAS Automation, a global leader in superior Robotic End-of-Arm tooling (EOAT) serving industrial customers around the world, is participating in the United Way of Greene County’s annual Adopt-a-Family program.
“We believe that as a company, we do more than provide good jobs to our community and solutions to our customers, we have an obligation to support those in our community who are in need,” said Rob Dalton, SAS General Manager and Co-Chair of the United Way of Greene County 2014 Campaign. “Everyone needs support of some kind during their life, and as a company, we believe it’s important to provide an opportunity for our employees to help others.”
This is the sixth year SAS employees have supported the United Way of Greene County’s Adopt-a-Family program during the holiday season. This year, SAS employees are adopting a single mother and her two children, ages 11 months and 6 years.
United Way shares information about the family SAS employees adopt, including clothing sizes, types of toys or games they would play, colors they like, and other information. Employees then wrap the presents and deliver them to the family several days before Christmas.
SAS empowers its employees to support the community and to give back in a way that is meaningful to each of them. In addition to the holiday Adopt-a-Family program, SAS employees also join forces each summer for the United Way of Greene County Annual Day of Service, and volunteer for the charity of their choice using designated monthly volunteer hours from SAS.
“Our employees value that our company priorities align with theirs,” said Dalton. “They have made giving back a part of the SAS culture, and we are humbled by all the volunteer work they do year after year.”
